Fourth Wing, by Rebecca Yarros- wow, I wasn’t sure what all of the hype was about, but I do now. So fun, and it is VERY SEXY.. Like Harry Potter with heavy romance and dragons. Page turner.

Comet in Moominland, by ToveJansson. This was recommended to me by a customer and I can’t wait to read it in the evenings with my kiddo. Perfect for 9-12 year olds.

Three Inch Teeth, by C J Box. This is the latest in the Joe Pickett series. Jaycee just simply LOVES this series.

Family Family, by Laurie Frankel was a deep and immersive look at a family with a past, and secrets. This book gives a new and interesting perspective on adoption. I really like her writing.

Everyone on This Train is a Suspect, by Benjamin Stevenson. I listened to this book, I really liked Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone. Just great writing, super interesting, fast-paced whodunnit.

Americanah, by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I have wanted to read from this author for a long time, this month seemed liked the perfect time.

Come and Get It, by Kiley Reid. I like this author’s writing style and therefore I am excited to read this title.

Winter Solstice, by Nina Maclaughlin.

Mad Honey, , by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan. I really enjoyed this book, They do a brilliant job at making these characters come alive and Jodi writes some of the best characters.

The Mystery Guest, by Nita Prose- I kept this book on because I did not get to it like I wanted to last month- I am listening to it, I am about 30% of the way through and it is ok so far. I will follow up. She is the author of The Maid, which I did not read but I really do enjoy a good, well-written mystery.

The Bitterroots, by C.J. Box. This is part of his Cassie Dewell’s series. Very spot on with CJ’s previous writing style. I am enjoying it. Sotto Voce.

The Long Grief Journey, by Pamela Blair. I will be listening to this one, with all that I have been through over the last year, I felt like this one will truly help me on my mental health journey.

Our Missing Hearts, by Celeste Ng. This book takes place in a not-so-distant future after a major crisis has led the United States toward intense nationalism. Our narrator, Bird, suddenly receives a message from his missing mother, whom he learns was trying to lead a revolution against one of the government's protective movements: rehoming children from parents they deem "unsuitable."

Check & Mate, by Ali Hazelwood, is such a good book surrounding the world of chess. There is love, feuding, and smart characters. Cozy and fun.

Day, by Michael Cunningham. About a dysfunctional family and it takes place before, during and post COVID shutdown. No one really wants to read about the virus.. I REALLY enjoyed.

How To Smile , by Thich Nhat Hanh- I managed to get my paws on a damaged copy and I really like them as a writer. Looking forward to it.

The Thursday Murder Club, by Richard Osman is a witty mystery with hilarious octogenarian sleuths.

The Woman In Me, by Britney Spears is a good listen. A glimpse into what it’s like to live under a conservatorship. I learned a great deal.

Mortal Follies is a romp of a read. Fun, sexy and a good choice for those who enjoyed Court of Thorns and Roses. Quick and oh so fun.

Spy School Goes North is a very popular series and the latest in the series, this title, has just become available on Libro.fm. I am going to listen to it in the car with my kiddo.

Fashion Killa was such a good read! I love hip hop, I grew up listening to a wide variety of hip hop music and this book speaks about how the music influenced fashion and created trends. I learned a lot and it was a good read.

Death Valley is by the same author who wrote The Pisces, which Brandy and I both read. I do not think that this author is for everyone but I do think she is a great writer and she has something very interesting to say. If you like weird and good writing, join me.

Dreyer’s English- I am always consulting this text for guidance and I really appreciate it. We have many a discussion as a team around subjects in this book. If you write- a must read!

Bartleby & Me - I liked this book a lot. He made his career writing about “everyday” people like you and me..

America the Beautiful? - Cheeky, insightful, and very honest. This book is written from a millennial perspective, I really enjoyed it.

The Last Devil to Die, by Richard Osman - the last installment of this 4-book series. It is well-written and hilarious. Two thumbs up.

Woman, Captain, Rebel - About a female Ship Captain in Iceland before there really was such a thing. I love Iceland.. looking forward to this read.

The Highway is part of the Cassie Dewell series.. I just love anything that C. J. Box writes.. I may just LOVE him.

Don’t Just Sit There, Do Nothing, read this one for class, guide to finding inner Tao. Book of reflection and guidance.

Shark Heart is weird and I like it.. would love to talk with someone about it.

Psycho - YES!! I have never seen the movie and the movie is based on this original tale.. so excited! making my horror -loving heart so happy.

Such a Fun Age - I am just starting to read this one but it is about a young woman who is wrongly accused of a crime solely based on the color of her skin.

Why Father’s Cry at Night is a poetic memoir that I am excited to write more about later.

Terrace Story - About a young couple in a tiny apartment. When a friend comes over something magical happens.. I won’t ruin it!

Witch Hat Atelier - this manga book has amazing art and I am excited to start a new series… more about it later.

Bunnicula - Weird and fun and spooky. We have 2 versions of it. I asked Brandy right away if she had read it because it very much made me think of her. Good writing and I am enjoying it.
